Avanidhara Social Welfare Foundation has been working in close association with Haritika for a Greener Cause for the past three years, building a strong and synergistic partnership focused on women’s empowerment and sustainable natural resource management.
This collaboration is rooted in a clear division of strengths and a shared vision. Haritika primarily leads the “hardware” interventions—such as water conservation structures, river basin restoration, and ecological infrastructure—while Avanidhara Social Welfare Foundation plays a vital “software” role, mobilising and sensitising communities, especially women and smallholder farmers, to ensure meaningful participation, ownership, and long-term sustainability of these initiatives.
Through awareness programmes, capacity building, women farmer group formation, and community engagement activities, Avanidhara bridges the gap between infrastructure and impact, ensuring that conservation efforts translate into improved livelihoods, food security, and social empowerment. Together, the two organisations work seamlessly to integrate water security, sustainable agriculture, and gender equity within Haritika’s river basin approach.

We maintain transparency, integrity, and measurable impact in everything we do.
The programs have created real change in our village. Women are confident, children are healthier, and access to water has improved daily life significantly.
Through skill training and health awareness, I gained confidence and independence. The support helped me improve my family’s income and wellbeing.
Being part of these initiatives transformed my perspective. The focus on youth development and rural upliftment truly creates long-lasting community impact.
